Before demo: design and ordering

The planning phase is where you control the timeline. The faster you finalize the layout and place the cabinet order, the sooner everything downstream can start.

  • Quote and 3D design: we turn a set of measurements into a full quote and a photorealistic 3D design, usually within 24 hours.
  • Finalize selections: door style, layout, countertop slab, flooring. A day to a couple of weeks, at your pace.
  • Cabinet lead time: we receive your order at our shop within a week; assembled delivery is 2 to 3 weeks. Order the cabinets before demo so they arrive on schedule.

Weeks 1 to 2: demo and rough-in

Demo is fast, usually a couple of days. The time goes into what happens after: moving plumbing or electrical for a new layout, patching, and any drywall work. If you are keeping the same footprint, this phase is short. If you are moving the sink or adding an island, budget more.

Weeks 2 to 4: cabinets, then counters

Once the room is prepped, your installer sets the cabinets. This is the milestone the rest of the project waits on, because the countertop cannot be templated until the cabinets are in place.

After the cabinets are set, the fabricator templates the counters. Fabrication then takes 1 to 3 weeks. This countertop gap is the single most common reason a kitchen is "almost done" for longer than expected, so plan for it.

Weeks 4 to 8: counters, backsplash, finish

Countertops install in a day. Then backsplash, plumbing hookups, appliance installation, and final touches. Flooring goes in either before cabinets or at the end depending on the plan. Most kitchens are fully finished 4 to 8 weeks after demo.

The two things that keep a remodel on time are ordering cabinets early and locking selections before demo starts.
